One of the best bowlers in the history of cricket Wasim Akram also commentator coach and former captain of Pakistan will not take part in the very first season of Lanka’s premier league due to Mother’s illness.

Wasim Akram was also the advisor of the Galle Gladiator franchise. Wasim Akram said that Galle Gladiator will be a strong team to compete. It will be an alarming situation for other teams because Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Amir, and Colin Ingram are in the starting XI.

“We have some outstanding players in the Galle team, I don’t want to name names, but it is a good mix of youth and experience, and I am sure we will give everyone a run for their money,” Akram told Khaleej Times.

“It is still early days to comment on whether we will make it to the final or not but one thing I can assure you, Galle Gladiators will be very tough to beat. I am really excited at our prospects,” he added.
