Umar Gul Advises Players to Reply to Critics Through Performance:
Former Pace Bowler Umar Gul asks the fans and media to support the Pakistan World T20 Squad. Speaking in an interview, Umar Gul stated that after the cancellation of New Zealand and England tours, the Pakistan Cricket is already going through a difficult time. In these times, criticism on players will not help. “In such times, we should not daunt the confidence of the squad, instead we should support them“, Umar Gul added.
Gul advised the players to reply to their critics through performance. “I’ve been through such phases. I preferred replying to the critics through my performances, and the World T20 Squad players should also do the same”, Umar Gul stated. The Veteran pacer also said that Pakistan’s bowling attack is quite strong heading into the Mega Event. He applauded the way Hasan Ali has performed since his Comeback and he also admitted that Pakistan has got good spinners as per the UAE conditions.

Umar Gul recently took to social media and criticised the Pakistan Cricket Board for their unprofessional behaviour. As per Umar, he was assured that he will be the assistant coach of Balochistan. Gul terminated all his other engagements to join Balochistan but in the format announcement, Raj Hans was appointed as the assistant coach of Balochistan. Speaking on this incident Umar Gul stated, “Ramiz Raja called me after I took to social media. I wasn’t upset on not getting the coaching role. I was upset on lack of communication by the board officials. Well now new coaches have been appointed and I wish them best of luck for the season“.
