The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021 will begin on June 1 in Karachi and conclude on June 20, according to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).


The PCB’s Board of Governors met today to make key decisions about the PSL 2021, which had to be postponed in March, midway through the tournament, due to an increase in Covid-19 cases among the players.

To avoid a repeat of the Covid-19 outbreak, the BoG decided that all participants would be subjected to mandatory seven-day quarantine from May 22 to May 28.

Following that, three days have been set aside for practice from May 29 to 31, with the tournament set to begin on June 1.

The Board also discussed a report on the events that led to the breach of the so-called bio-secure bubble, expressing disappointment while vowing to implement a “zero-tolerance policy on coronavirus SOPs.”

It was stated that an international company’s appointment for the management of the bubble was nearing completion.
