Fast bowler Tabish Khan recalled the moment when he found out that he has been selected for the Pakistan international team.
Tabish says that he was sitting in his room when his close friend called him on his phone and told him that he has been selected for the upcoming test matches VS South Africa. Tabish said that he knows it’s not true and that he knows it’s a prank. After being insisted on by his friend to open the T.V, the 36-year-old fast bowler did so.
At the same time, his mother was going out to get groceries when he stopped her and asked her to stay while the team is being announced to which his mother said that it’s no use and that they will not select him.

Whilst the team was being announced his hopes kept going down as his name was not being called until on the very last spot did selector Mohammad Wasim called out his name and his mother and his brother got down to a sujood and thanked Allah.
Tabish Khan said that he simply can’t express the ecstasy he was feeling. A player who was being ignored for over 20 years finally got his deserving spot and now is his chance to shut his critiques and haters who doubted him and were the reason for his late selection.
