Ahmed Shehzad Blames Waqar, Other Seniors for Ruining his Career
Shehzad Blames Waqar, Other Seniors for Ruining his Career:
In a latest interview with a local website, Ahmed Shahzad has blamed former Head-Coach Waqar Younis and other seniors for ruining his career. Shehzad talked about a report that was submitted in 2016 to the PCB by Waqar Younis and in which Waqar had stated that Ahmed and Umar Akmal have to play domestic cricket in order to play for Pakistan again. Shehzad complained that these issues should’ve been directly discussed with him face to face by Waqar rather than the report being submitted to PCB. He claimed that this has put a massive dent on his career.
Moreover Ahmed Shahzad also believed that some teammates tried to associate his name with Umar Akmal in order to damage his reputation. Shehzad termed it a pre-planned procedure to remove both Akmal, and himself from the team.
Shehzad also said that Virat Kohli was able to do well because he got MS Dhoni as a captain. While he believed that in Pakistan, its the seniors themselves who don’t want to see these talented batsmen succeed. Ahmed Shehzad said he’s continuing his grind and will try to maintain his form.
