Rizwan appointed captain of Multan Sultans for PSL 6!

Multan Sultans have appointed Muhammad Rizwan as their new captain who is in blazing hot form and only the 2ndPakistani to have scored a T20I hundred! 

Official announcement!

The Multan sultans management released an official statement via their social media platforms and stated that: 

“The Multan Sultan management is pleased to appoint Muhammad Rizwan as the captain of the franchise for HBL PSL 6. The wicket-keeper batsmen is presently the first choice wicket keeper for Pakistan and is also the vice captain of the national test team.” 

Owner’s Statement:

The owner of Multan Sultans Alamgir Khan Tareen stated upon appointing Rizwan as captain of the franchise for PSL 6th edition: 

  “Muhammad Rizwan has shown exemplary leadership qualities with the Pakistan team as-well as with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in domestic tournament. He is presently one of the very best in the world at his position and we are excited to have him lead our team for the upcoming season of Pakistan Super League. We are grateful to Shan Masood for leading the franchise exceptionally well last season and for instilling a winning mentality in the team.”

Muhammad Rizwan spoke upon being appointed as Captain of Multan Sultans: 

 “I look forward to leading the Multan Sultans team for the upcoming season. I have understood the innovative approach the franchise applied last season and am looking forward to playing my part this year.

Multan Sultans had a successful HBL PSL 5 and we will aspire to go even better this time around especially with senior Pakistani players such as Shahid Afridi, Shan Masood and Sohail Tanveer to look up to,”

 Rizwan said.

It is a big benefit to Multan Sultans has Rizwan is in stellar form at the moment and just smashed his maiden T20I ton this recent week! Rizwan also smashed 7 sixes in an innings which is the highest by any Pakistani in a T20I innings!
