Will retire if someone better than me takes my place: Mohammad Hafeez
In a very recent interview on a YouTube channel, Veteran Mohammad Hafeez claimed that he will happily leave the team if someone better than him dethrones him from his spot
Speaking to the host, Hafeez told the host that he has in fact talked to the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mr. Ehsan Mani, and told him that he will leave the team with no resentment and that he doesn’t play for the team for the sake of money, but he plays it for the pride of Pakistan.
Mohammad Hafeez has been involved in many controversies, the most recent one being, Mohammad Hafeez offered a C category central contract which he declined. This raised questions about whether he is even part of the team plans for the upcoming T2O World Cup.
This has surprised quite an enormous amount of fans because, at this point, Hafeez is actually in the form of his life, and yet after giving him so many chances when he was failing that now he is actually performing fabulously that the board is deciding to omit him from their plans.
