Quaid-e-Azam trophy final; epic game finishes in a tie!
An epic finish to an epic few days of cricket! The final of the Quaid-e-Azam trophy is tied! Chasing a target of 356 in the 4th innings the Central Punjab needed 9 runs to win and the KPK needed on wicket. As the scores were level at 355 KPK strike and took the one wicket to end the game on an epic note; a tie in a final.
KPK summary:
KPK who won the toss elected to bat first and put up a total of 300 in their first innings! CEP scored 257 still trailing by 43 runs. In the second innings KPK scored 312 and manage to put a 356 total for CEP to chase to win the final.
Kamran Ghulam remained the highest scorer for KPK in both their innings. He scored 76 off 129 in the first innings at strike rate of 58.91 which included 15 fours.
In the second innings he scored 108 off 208 at a strike rate of 51.92 including 16 fours and 1 six.
Irfan Ullah shah took 4 wickets in the first innings of CEP for 73 runs in 20 overs. Khalid Usman took 3 wickets for 32 runs in his 15 overs in CEP 1st innings.
Sajid Khan took 4 and Arshad Iqbal took 3 in CEP second innings.

Hassan Ali who’s been named player of the tournament and the play of the match in final has had one amazing tournament and scored an unbeaten 106* off just 61 deliveries to end the game in a tie. He also took 4 wickets in the first innings of KPK.
