Peshawar Zalmi Player Withdraws His Name from PSL 7

Peshawar Zalmi Player Withdraws His Name from PSL 7:

Right after the drafts of the seventh edition of Pakistan Super League, Peshawar Zalmi’s Kamran Akmal withdrew his name from Pakistan Super League 7. His social media manager, Shahzaib Ali announced it on twitter:

Rumors were in the air before the drafts that Kamran Akmal is already not happy on his demotion from last year. He was already unhappy on his addition in gold category and then Peshawar Zalmi first released him, then picked him in silver category. Kamran Akmal took it on his pride and decided to take his name out from the league. Kamran Akmal is the second highest all time run getter of Pakistan Super League however his last year’s performance was below par and hence none of the team showed interest for him.

Kamran Akmal has 3 centuries to his name in Pakistan Super League history, and also gives wicket keeping advantage. But with growing age and declining graph of his batting stats, Noone is interested in Kamran Akmal in higher categories. Whether Zalmi will get an additional pick now or not remains a question and an official word is awaited from the franchise as well as PCB.
