The move to include 9 uncapped players is a bold decision by the selection committee. Excluding these 9 players, the team still consists of players who are making a return and of those who are rather in experienced.

Surprise inclusions

Inclusion of veteran domestic fast bowler Tabish Khan surprised us the most as he was a constantly ignored player. The second and third inclusion which surprised us all was spinner Sajid Khan and middle order batsman Kamran Ghulam. Even though, all these additions were surprising, but they were not undeserving as all 3 players played a pivotal role in the Quaid-E-Azam trophy tournament for their respective teams.

Surprise exclusions

Zafar Gohar, who made his debut in the recent New Zealand tour was dropped from the squad when he batted exceptionally although his magic with spin didn’t work as planned. Shan Masood was another player who failed horribly in the latest test series and although, dropping him was justified, its the public who didn’t expected this decision from the committee.
