Pakistan’s Squad for West Indies Series Announced | where is Hasan Ali?
West Indies tour of Pakistan will kick off from 13th December with the T20I series first. Afterwards, the 3 match ODI series will begin from 18 December 2021. Pakistan have announced their ODI and T20I squad for the home series. Prominent names like, Imad Wasim, Hasan Ali, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Faheem Ashraf have been left out.
In the T20I squad, Pakistan continued to rest Imad Wasim who last featured in T20I Cricket for Pakistan in the World T20 2021. Imad also rested in the series against Bangladesh. Hasan Ali and the team management decided mutually that Hasan Ali needs a rest as he has continuously played a lot of cricket. Sarfaraz Ahmed was also left out of the side. Mohammad Hafeez made himself unavailable for this series in order to feature in the LPL.
In the ODI Squad, apart from Hasan and Sarfaraz, Faheem Ashraf and Agha Salman were also axed from the squad and Haider Ali Mohammad Wasim Jnr, Khushdil Shah, Iftikhar Ahmed and Asif Ali earned their way back. A lot of questions were left unanswered as Agha Salman was left out even without playing. Same goes for Asif Ali, that on the basis of performance in the shorter format, he once again came back in the ODI squad.
