The Pakistan vs West Indies T20I Series 2021 concluded with Pakistan whitewashing the visitors. Pakistan won all 3 T20Is quite easily and the Windies returned home win-less, after the ODI Series was rescheduled. Some big records were created during the high-scoring series which are listed below:

Highest Successful Run-Chase in T20Is:

Pakistan chased 208 runs in the final T20I against West Indies at National Stadium Karachi. This win ensured the whitewash of the Caribbean Side. This was Pakistan’s highest successful run-chase in T20I Cricket. Overall, it was the tenth highest successful run-chase in T20I Cricket History.

Most T20I Wins a Calendar Year:

After winning the final T20I against West Indies, Pakistan ended 2021 with 20 wins in the shortest format of the game. This is a world-record for most wins by any team in T20Is in a calendar year. Not to forget that England and New Zealand had cancelled their visit to Pakistan this year, if those two tours had happened, the record would have further extended.

Most 150 or Above Partnerships in T20Is:

Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan registered a 150+ partnership once again in the final T20I against West Indies. This was the 4th occasion when the pair had piled up 150 or more runs together in a T20I games. This is the world-record for most 150 or more runs partnership in T20I cricket history. Interestingly all 4 150 and above partnerships of Babar and Rizwan have come in 2021, against India, England, West Indies and South Africa.

Most Runs in a Calendar Year in T20s:

While Mohammad Rizwan had already broken the record for most T20I Runs in a calendar year in 2021, he also became the first man to score 2000+ T20 runs in a calendar year. So many legends and T20 experts have played the game, but no-one has played like Rizwan did in this year. Mohammad Rizwan became the first man in the history of the game to score 2000+ T20 runs in a calendar year. Rizwan scored a tally of 2036 runs in 48 T20 Matches this year, averaging 56.55 with the bat and at a strike rate of 132.03. He scored 18 fifties and 1 century in the format.
