Pakistan Cricket Team have departed for the ICC World T20 2021 in UAE. The Team departed for UAE on 12:15 PM (PST) through a chartered plane. The 18 member squad and coaching panel will reach Dubai first. Pakistan Cricket Team will feature in 2 practice games ahead of the start of the Super 12 stage. On 18th October Pakistan will play West Indies while on 20th October Pakistan will face South Africa in the practice match.
Pakistan’s World T20 Campaign will begin against arch rivals India on 24th October 2021 in Dubai. Pakistan will then face New Zealand on 26th October, Afghanistan on 29th October and then they will face the two qualifying teams on 2nd and 7th November respectively. Pakistan Team have qualified for the semi finals in 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2012 T20 World Cups. However in the last two editions, 2014 and 2016, Pakistan failed to make it to the knockout stages. Pakistan Cricket Team was also the first side to feature in back to back finals of the event, when they lost to India in the final of 2007 T20 World Cup, while they were crowned champions in 2009. The fans have waited now for almost 12 years to see the Pakistan Team lift another World T20 trophy.
