Pakistan is Safe | Foreign Cricketers Tweet to Support Pakistan:

After New Zealand decided to call of Pakistan tour after an unverified security alert, Multiple Foreign Cricketers showed their support for Pakistan on Twitter. Cricketers and Commentators from West Indies, Sri Lanka, Australia etc. tweeted to show their support for Pakistan. Many players also termed the decision of New Zealand as shocking and sad.

The two time World T20 winning captain of West Indies, Darren Sammy tweeted the following:

Darren Sammy said that he is continuously visiting Pakistan over the past 6 years and never had any security issue. Indeed he revealed that he had enjoyable experiences in Pakistan. Sammy was also in the commentary panel for the Pakistan vs New Zealand Series. Darren Sammy is also a prominent name in Pakistan Super League as he has won the league as captain in 2017 and he coaches Peshawar Zalmi currently.

South African Batsman Rilee Rossouw also expressed his disappointment on twitter. He stated the following:

Rilee Rossouw is another prominent name of the Pakistan Super League and has kept visiting Pakistan for PSL. Rilee also expressed his sadness upon the cancellation of the ODI series between Pakistan and New Zealand.

Players from Pakistan’s Neighboring country, Sri Lanka also showed their support in this situation for Pakistan. Sri Lankan Commentator, Roshan Abeysinghe and the Sri Lankan Test Captain, Dimuth Karunaratne took to twitter and revealed how safe Pakistan is and how disappointed they are upon the cancellation of the tour.

Sri Lankan Skipper said that when Sri Lanka toured Pakistan they had no security issues whatsoever. Commentator Roshan Abeysinghe asked the entire world to look positively at Pakistan. Roshan also hoped that England Cricket will tour Pakistan in October 2021.

Kiwi Commentator Danny Morrison also said that he loved travelling across Pakistan. Despite being from the New Zealand, Danny supported Pakistan. Below is what he tweeted:

The Cricketing community kept showering their love and support for Pakistan after the unfortunate series cancellation of New Zealand. It is expected that this series cancelation would not affect the future of International Cricket in Pakistan as Pakistan is safe and peace loving nation and people here are passionate for Cricket.
