In the event of a whitewash in the T20 series against England, the Pakistani team could have jumped from fourth to second position in the world rankings with 267 points, but the first match could not be completed on Friday due to rain.
The Green Shirts could finish third with 265 points and England would have to drop to fourth place with 262 points.
In order to draw the series 1-1, the Green Shirts will have to settle for fourth place with 261 points while England will retain the second position with 268 points.

If Pakistan loses their next two matches, it will be in fifth place with 257 points. England will have to go further with 273 points to reduce the distance from the number one ranked Australia.
