Pakistan 1st innings update: Azhar Ali departs for 93!
Pakistan and NewZealand went head to head in the 2nd test at Hagley oval. NewZealand chose to bowl first. Pakistan were bowled out in the first innings for 297 but in their defence the pitch was heaven for a fast bowler and the fast bowlers were a nightmare to Pakistan.

Azhar missed his 100!
Abid Ali and Azhar Ali partnered up for a 50+ partnership but Abid Ali fell shortly after breaking the partnership, scoring 25 off 53.
Haris Sohail’s poor form continues and he goes back scoring 1. Fawad Alam departed for 2 off 8 on an unplayable delivery from Kyle Jamieson.
Azhar Ali reduced Pakistan from a lethal spell by Jamieson where they lost 3 wickets in a cluster. He scored a quick 50 off 73 balls first on a strike rate of 69.09 including 9 fours!
He almost went big there but fell 9 short of a well deserved century. He scored a total of 93 runs on 172 deliveries with 12 fours on a strike rate of 54.07.
Rizwan’s brilliance with the bat
Rizwan continues his brilliance with the bat. He scored 69 off 71 with the help of 11 fours! He batted on strike rate of 85.92. This Is his fifth consecutive 50 in SENA countries! And his third in this series.
Middle order comes to rescue
Faheem Ashraf continues his help with the bat and scored 48 off 88.
