Pakistan vs England T20 series washed out

Rain is being extreme envy of cricket for a few weeks. The last two test matches drew because of the wet weather spoiling the delight of cricketers and fan arouse for cricket resumption after the COVID situation. Rain won the test series by 2 points, defeating the joyous zeal of cricket revival.

Another format, another team squad, another venue, another rain hindrance.

The first T20 of 3 matches series set about on Friday 28th, began with a thundering wicket of Bairstow by Imad Waseem. All was going good, Tom Banton vigorously played his energetic knock of 72, Pakistani spinners attacked from the front and scalped 6 wickets and BOOM! It began to drizzle and umpires suspended the game until the rain stops.

A continuous series of inspections went on, elite panel decided a shortened innings of Pakistan, giving a target of 56 runs within 5 overs as soon as the ground becomes ready to resume play, but the rain didn’t show a bit of mercy and kept raging more and more. At last, umpires had to give up and the first T20 match halted due to rainfall at 131-6.

This gloomy weather of England moots the consideration of home ground for England. They must ameliorate the selection of venues or foresee to play at neutral grounds.

Let’s talk about upcoming T20 matches. The second match is to be played tomorrow on Sunday 30th August. The weather tomorrow is mostly cloudy with a 10% chance of rain. The game will start at 1:15 p.m. GMT (6:15 p.m. PKT). On the third match of series, September 1, the weather forecast is partly cloudy in Manchester where the last T20 of the series is going to be played at 5:00 p.m. GMT (10:00 p.m. PKT). So apparently we will have a good series ahead if the rain doesn’t show any mood swings.
