Mohammad Rizwan tells why he is in such excellent form:
Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan’s wicketkeeper-batsman who has been in excellent form in international cricket since 2020, has explained the cause for his recent success.
Rizwan stated that a change in batting position proved to be a watershed moment in his career.

“I’ve always enjoyed batting but couldn’t perform well in this department at the start of my international career, but a change in the batting order has greatly favored me. “The current team management has demonstrated their faith in me by promoting my batting order, and I attempted to capitalize on it well,” Rizwan told PCB Digital.
He also mentioned that advice from former and present Pakistan cricketers has been tremendously beneficial in enhancing his hard-hitting ability.

“At the start of my international career, no one believed that I could hit long sixes but of course I worked on my hard-hitting ability,” he said. “I was fortunate enough to get tips from Mohammad Hafeez, Mushtaq Ahmed, and Shahid Afridi. Once Ramiz Raja was walking beside the nets and he asked me to keep the head still, which helped me a lot.”

He’s also well-prepared for the next limited-overs series against England.
“Before the tour to England last year, I worked particularly hard on my hitting and wicket-keeping skills. The conditions were difficult in England, and the red ball swings late, so you had to work extra hard to obtain mastery of it,” he explained.
“In white-ball cricket, English conditions are conducive to scoring runs. You will get more out of the wicket if you stay longer on it. I worked on it and will try to incorporate it into the next series,” he said.
