Mohammad Rizwan Gives Strong Reply to Moin Khan:
The No.1 T20I batter and Pakistan’s wicket keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan spoke to the media after the first T20I between Pakistan and England. England defeated Pakistan by 6 wickets and once again criticism was done on Pakistan’s slow approach in the shortest format of the game.
After a defeat in the Asia Cup 2022 final, former Wicket-Keeper batter Moin Khan had termed Mohammad Rizwan one dimensional player and said that Rizwan can not play on the off side. Rizwan was asked this question in the post match press conference after the first T20I.
Mohammad Rizwan replied that, “If I can play off-side deliveries on the leg-side, there is absolutely no need for me to play on the off side then.” Rizwan also said that May Almighty Allah reward those who are thinking for the betterment of the team by their criticism.
While the experts have the view that Pakistan team is playing too many dot balls, Mohammad Rizwan and Skipper Babar Azam are paying no attention to the criticism. Earlier in the pre series press conference, Babar Azam had responded to Aaqib Javed’s criticism saying that the team doesn’t take these remarks seriously and they do not care at all.
