IPL to possibly be played in Sri Lanka
The 14th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was recently postponed due t the rise of COVID-19 cases emerging from the squads.
IPL has never been suspended, but this year seeing the current situation in India put an immense pressure on BCCI forcing them to delay it.

The BCCI recognized UAE as the potential host, but Sri Lanka board’s official has said that they are willing to offer their stadiums for IPL as they have been very successful in keeping the players safe.
Although, they have not written a letter to the BCCI, it can be said that Sri Lanka have been far safer for the players.
Delaying the tournament to next year seems unlikely as the BCCI will lose huge money and that cannot be afforded.
