India win the 1st T20I by a margin of 11 runs! After managing to put up a total of 161 in 20 overs India put up an amazing show with the ball and get the lead 1-0 up.
India top performers in 2nd innings:
Ravindra Jadeja was ruled out for the second innings and Yuzvendra Chahal was bought in as his concussion substitute. He bowled his 4 overs and claimed 3 wickets conceding just 25 runs. This became a controversial debate as the cricket rules do not allow a concussion substitute to bowl in the same game.
T. Na Tara Jan claimed 3 wickets and deepak Chahar got one to his name.
Aus batting:
Captain of the Australian team Aron Finch top scored for his side with 35 off 26. D’arcy Short scored 34 runs off 38.
India’s blunders:
India did manage to win the game by 11 runs but they did make a couple blunders during the game that could’ve cost them the lead. Virat Kohli dropped a catch. India midfielded and an over throw caused the ball to race to the boundary which gave Australia 5 runs on a single delivery.
