ICC World T20 Warmup Matches | Pakistan to Play 2 Warmup Matches:

The Pakistan Cricket team are all set to depart for the ICC World T20 on 15th October. Pakistan will kick off their World T20 Campaign against arch rivals India. However before facing the Indian Cricket Team , Pakistan will also face West Indies and South Africa in the warmup games. The schedule for the warmup matches has been announced. All the 8 pre qualified teams will play 2 warmup games each with teams from the other group ahead of the main stage. It is a good news for Pakistan as both of their series prior to the World T20 got cancelled and the team didn’t get much preparation. However the ongoing National T20 Cup 2021 has provided the players an opportunity to get prepared for the mega event.

The warmup matches will begin from 18th October. 8 teams will be in action on 18th October. Afghanistan will lock horns with South Africa in Abu Dhabi, Pakistan will clash with the defending champions, West Indies at Dubai. New Zealand will meet Australia at Abu Dhabi while India will have the challenge of England at Dubai. The first two matches will begin at 3 PM while the next two games will begin 7 PM (PST).

On 20th October, England will face the Kiwis at Abu Dhabi while India will face the Kangaroos in Dubai. Pakistan will face South Africa in Abu Dhabi while West Indies and Afghanistan will be battling at Dubai. The timings will be same as day 1. Only the warm up matches of Indian Team are confirmed to be televised by Star Sports. No information regrading the telecasting of other matches has been provided yet. It is a good opportunity for all the sides to get the idea of the conditions of UAE prior to the start of the main stage.

The super 12 stage of the tournament will kick off from 23rd October, when Australia will meet South Africa in the Tournament’s opener at Abu Dhabi, while later in the night the finalists of the last edition of ICC World, England and West Indies will battle each other. Pakistan will kick off their journey against India on 24th October at Dubai.
