Hafeez breaking records even at 40!
Muhammad Hafeez, the 40 years young Pakistan all rounder, who made his T20I debut in 2006 today equals the record of most Runs in T20Is for Pakistan and is the highest run scorer in T20Is in 2020.
Equals record for most runs for Pakistan in T20:
Hafeez equals the record for most runs for Pakistan in T20 internationals with Shoaib Malik, both having scored 2323 runs in the shortest format. The difference only is that it took Malik 115 games to reach the land mark while Hafeez was able to achieve the feat in his 99th T20 international.Â
Next in the list are Umer Akmal with 1690 runs scored in 84 games and the Pakistan all format captain and sensation across the globe Babar Azam who has scored 1681 runs in just 44 T20 internationals.Â
Most runs in T20Is in 2020
While some of us have had the worst year of our lives, Hafeez the 40 years young, made the most of 2020 and had an amazing year in T20Is. Hafeez is the highest run scorer in T20Is this year scoring 406 runs being in the red hot form that he is in. He scored his personal best T20 score 99* not out this year too in the T20 series against NewZealand.
Followed by Hafeez on the second number is India’s KL Rahul with 404 runs in 11 games this year.
