Fawad Benched as Pakistan Announce their Playing XI for First Test against SL:
The Pakistan Cricket Team have announced their lineup for the First Test against Sri Lanka at Galle. Pakistan have decided to play the combination of 3 Pacers and 3 Spinners for the first Test.
They have benched the middle order batsman Fawad Alam, and brought in Salman Ali Agha who will be making his Test Debut. Salman, delivered well in the 3 day practice game. Salman has scored 4224 in First Class Cricket at an average of 38. He has also picked 88 wickets with the ball.
Mohammad Nawaz and Yasir Shah will be making their comebacks in the Test Side. Pakistan have got this new spin bowling duo replacing the previous duo of Sajid Khan and Nauman Ali. Moreover Faheem Ashraf is also not a part of the XI and Naseem Shah has been included in the playing XI.

Babar Azam (c), Mohammad Rizwan (vc, wk), Abdullah Shafique, Azhar Ali, Hasan Ali, Imam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Nawaz, Naseem Shah, Salman Ali Agha, Shaheen Afridi and Yasir Shah.
The First Test begins on Saturday 16th July 2022 at Galle. The match will begin at 9 30 PM PST.
