Pak vs Eng|Why Fawad Alam should play in the next match
After a lot of criticism and pressure from fans and media left-handed middle order batsman Fawad Alam was included in the squad for the tour of England. In the first test match it was expected that he would not play and will be considered if someone does not perform well
Here are some reasons in support why Fawad Alam should play the next match:
Since Misbah-Ul-Haq and Younus Khan’s retirement, Pakistan’s middle order has not been the same. Since they departed Pakistan was in a dire need of a player who could stay on the crease for a long time and for this responsibility Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq were expected to fulfill that role, but they did not. Fawad Alam who has always been under the shadow should now be given his well-deserved chance to prove how good of a player he is.
34-year-old Fawad Alam has a lot of experience and right now Pakistan will gain a lot from him as the other senior players are not meeting their expectations.
Fawad Alam is an excellent fielder, bowler, and an extra ordinary batsman. When asked about why Shadab Khan did not bowl much the PCB replied that he was included in as a batting all rounder so using this logic Alam would be a perfect fit for the team.
Replacement is ready
Right-handed batsman Asad Shafiq has never looked that bad as it looks like that he just does not know how to bat. Many people believe that now it is the time to remove Asad Shafiq from the team because he is not delivering up to the mark and that he looks very rusty.

In the end if eventually Fawad Alam do get a chance he should know that this might be his last opportunity to prove how good of a player he is. Fans will support him at as much as they could and the media will continue to highlight how good of a talent he is but now it is now or never for Fawad Alam if we look at his age (34).
