Cricketers, Fans Show Support for Hasan Ali on Twitter │World T20 2021

Hasan Ali turned out to be a villain for Pakistan after costing Pakistan Cricket Team the semi final of the ICC World T20 2021. Hasan Ali dropped the catch of Matthew Wade who then smashed 3 consecutive sixes to Shaheen Shah Afridi to end Pakistan’s dream run in the ICC World T20 2021. A lot of fans lost their calm and started bashing Hasan Ali on social media. The netizens criticized his non-serious attitude during training. However many of Hasan’s on-field friends started supporting him by posting on twitter in his favor. Cricketers reminded the fans that the same Hasan Ali took Pakistan to Champions Trophy win in 2017. The vice-captain of Pakistan Cricket Team Shadab Khan tweeted in favor of Hasan Ali saying that he is a match winner. Shadab Khan also asked the fans not to personally attack Hasan Ali after his bad-day in the Pakistan vs Australia Semi Final.

Wicket-Keeper batsman Kamran Akmal also requested the fans to give respect to Hasan Ali. Kamran stated that anyone can have a rough day but the fans should not blame a single player.

Women’s cricketer, Bismah Mahroof and opening batsman of Pakistan, Imam-ul-Haq also applauded Pakistan’s effort in the event and asked the fans to support Hasan Ali. It was fair to say that Hasan Ali’s drop catch was costly but Hasan Ali was indeed the name who won Pakistan Champions trophy and was on a roll since the past 1 year. Fans bashing a player this much could hurt the player mentally and hence cricketers themselves asked the fans not to go too harsh on Hasan Ali.
